The Department of Language and Literature offers courses in the following: scandinavian studies, foreign languages, comparative studies of literature, communication studies, cultural awareness, signed language and interpreting as well as an M.A. in language studies with teacher education.

Our staff is responsible for several research projects within the following areas: languages, literature, communication, civilization and culture.

The Department also offers Norwegian courses for foreign students and staff.
