The Department of Language and Literature offers courses in the following: Scandinavian studies, foreign languages, comparative studies of literature, communication studies, cultural awareness, signed language and interpreting as well as a master's degree in language studies with teacher education.

Our staff is responsible for several research projects within the following areas: languages, literature, communication, civilization and culture.

The Department also offers Norwegian courses for foreign students and staff.
