Course content

The course provides an introduction to labor economics and discusses topics such as supply of and demand for labor, determination of wages and employment, as well as various causes of wage differences. The importance of education, migration and labor market institutions is also discussed.

  • explain the importance of education, migration and labor market institutions
  • analyze effects in the labor market of various policies

Learning methods and activities

2 hours of lectures every week and 2 hours of practical assignment every other week. The course has compulsory activity. Specific requirements will be announced at the beginning of the term.
