Department of Economics offers teaching at all academic levels and we cover most major fields in economics. We currently have about 500 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students in five different programmes.

The department has a vibrant research environment. The department publishes within the fields of development economics, econometrics, education economics, environmental economics, financial economics, labour economics, macroeconomics, political economy, and public economics.
