Course content

This course allows the student to self study and specialization in a chosen subject connected to the main instrument. The course is primarily for Master's students who are given the right to replace Experts in teamwork. The student will in cooperation with an assigned teaching supervisor make a reading list.

  • has knowledge about basic academic writing and can independently complete a written assignment.

  • has in-depth knowledge about a selected subject relevant - is able to orient in relevant literature

Learning methods and activities

Tutoring: 6 hours. Self-study. The student submits an assignment sketch and syllabus by 15 September / 15 February for approval by the department.

Further on evaluation

Assessment: 15-20 typed A4 pages with 1.5 spacing, type size 12, and standard margins. Example notes and illustrations are in addition to this.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Music Performance (MMUSP)

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to Master's Degree Proramme in Music Performance, and exemption from Experts in Teamwork.
