Course content
The course consists of problem solving, arranging one's own and others' compositions in the traditions of jazz ensembles and big band, as well as composing original material.

Skills:
The candidate:
- has skills and knowledge about arranging, composing and notation
- is able to develop, arrange and orchestrate her or his musical material.
Learning methods and activities
Group instruction - 1 lesson per week during the academic year.
Instruction is obligatory and demands minimum 80% attendance.
Compulsory assignments
- Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction
Further on evaluation
The portfolio shall contain arrangements/compositions in recorded and/or score form. The number of works will vary, depending on the the compositions/arrangements.
