Course content
The course covers accompaniment-/ensemble literature for the most common solo instruments/songs of important periods and genres. The student will accompany at internal concerts in the study period. The student may choose to specialize in one particular genre. Students will receive some training in reduction of orchestra transcriptions etc. For piano and guitar: some basic training in general bass playing/figuration,for guitar also tabulator playing. The student must independently organize accompaniment with fellow students at the start of the semester.

- as been trained in interactiv accompagnying other musicians and singers
- has been trained in prima vista playing.
Learning methods and activities
Individual instruction and/or group instruction - 1 lesson a week for 24 weeks. Observation of teachers accompaiment lectures. The student must participate in at least two concerts prior to the exams.
Compulsory assignments
- Participation at 2 concerts
- Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction
- A minimum of 90 minutes studied repertoire
Further on evaluation
Repertoire list (90 minutes) and examination program with teacher approval must be submitted prior to April 1st.

Required previous knowledge
Requires passed MUSP4136 or corresponding course. Principal instrument must have been piano, guitar or other chord instrument. To be on a high level in prima-vista playing is an advantage.
