Course content
The course includes accompaniment and ensemble literature for the most common solo instruments and songs from important periods and genres, as well as lessons in accompaniment in the company of the instructor. The student should play at internal concerts during the study.
Learning outcome
The candidate:
- has experience with accompaniment in a concert situation
- has experience in accompanying other musicians and singers in an active way using listening skills
- has experience in prima vista playing
Learning methods and activities
Instruction in accompaniment. Observation of the teacher.
Compulsory assignments
- Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction
- Performance at one concert
- Studied repertoire minimum 60 minutes
Further on evaluation
The studied repertoire (60 minutes) includes the program for the examination concert and must be delivered medio April. The student must participate in one concert in addition to the exam. Practical exam: Accompaniment preferably by fellow student 20 minutes effective playing.

Required previous knowledge
Requires passed MUSP4160 or corresponding course. For students with principal instrument piano, guitar, accordion or other chord instrument.
