Course content
Course curriculum is based on general introduction to mechanical engineering in particular. The subjects of interests are:
- Systematic techniques
- Methods of product development
- Introduction to 3D modelling and simple simulations
- Building of models and prototypes with the digital and manual tools
- Introduction to sustainability.
Learning outcome
The candidate has the basic understanding of the engineer role in the domain of mechanical engineeringproduct design and product development including basic elements of constructions, mechanics, calculations and machine programmingvisualisation and modelling using manual and digital toolscommunication of the obtained knowledge to people with different backgrounds and experties.

- Group work under supervision.
- Lectures on chosen topics.

Mandatory individual and group assignments must be approved during the semester. The project work is conducted in groups.
