Course content

The course provides an introduction to mechanical engineering in general and the following topics in particular:

  • Systematic working techniques.
  • Planning, conducting and documenting theoretical and experimental work based on given scope.
  • Introduction to digitalization and sustainability.

Learning outcome

The candidate

  • has the basic understanding of the engineer role in the domain of Mmechanical Engineering
  • is being able to apply the knowledge and results from relevant research and development work to solve theoretical, technical and practical problems in field of Mechanical Engineering.
  • is being able to plan, manage and conduct technical projects, experiments and simulations together with methodical analysis of achieved data if relevant.
  • is being able to communicate the obtained knowledge to people with different backgrounds and expertise.
  • has an insight in environmental, health related, social and economic consequences of the suggested solutions.
