Course content
The student will specialize in selected area based on scientific methods, collect supplementary information based on literature search and other sources and combine this with own knowledge into a project report.
Learning outcome
Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge in current problem.
- Good knowledge in related topics.
- Good knowledge about relevant scientific literature.
Skills:
- Independently perform development projects.
- Very good skills in utilizing techniques, systems and tools necessary.
- Good skills in carrying out large independent projects including development of project plan with milestones and reporting of part results and progress.
- Good skills in literature survey and other sources of relevant information.
- Good skills in short oral presentation of work and results.
- Good skills in writing technical report according to standard setup.
General competence:
- Communicate specialist topics with specialists and general public.
- Understanding scientific methods.
- Understanding running practical projects.
In addition to the individual course topic, the study program shares a common project theme across all courses. This is addressed through the perspective and methodology of each course to deliver discipline specialization, as well as linking the different scopes and aspects into a holistic engineering view.
