Work Organisation and Restructuring in the Knowledge Society (WORKS)

This project is funded by the European Commission under its 6th Framework Programme (2005-2009) with the aim of gaining an understanding of the changes which are taking place in the organization of work as corporate structures are transformed in the context of economic globalization and rapid technological change. The project involves partners from seventeen different institutions in thirteen EU Member States and is coordinated by the Higher Institute for Labour Studies based at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.

Phetogo 2000 - A multi-disciplinary research and development project on productivity and enterprise development in Botswana

This collaborative project is called "Phetogo" which means "change" in Setswana. The overarching aim of the project is two-fold: To develop new tools and methods for productivity development in private companies in Botswana, and to increase Botswana National Productivity Centre's (BNPC) capacity to carry through further private sector development. Key partners are SINTEF, BNPC, and three local companies. The project takes a holistic value chain approach, whilst also drawing on the balanced scorecard and intellectual capital perspectives.
