ALBA Network
Organised with the support of IBRO, this event is conceived by the ALBA Network and the IBRO Early Career Committee to facilitate a wide-ranging discussion of what neuroscientists can do as a community to build research capacity in the Global South and how this increase for innovation can bring benefits to all. Our panellists will share some compelling experiences and success stories. They come from four continents and have met challenges as varied as their backgrounds.
Information on the ALBA Website.
NNS is a proud signatory of the #ALBADeclaration on Equity and Inclusion.
The Declaration represents our commitment to make science more inclusive. Sign the Declaration at www.alba.network/declaration
Open letter on the Future of Research in Europe made a difference
Thanks to all supporters of the open letter on #futureofresearch. 27th November 2019, the Von der Leyen commision revealed the definitive title for commisioner Mariya Gabriel, which now explicitly mentions research, education and culture. For more information visit https://www.futureofresearch.eu/
Launch of the ALBA Network
Recently founded by a group of international leading scientists, the ALBA Network aims to promote equality and diversity in brain sciences. Professor Carmen Sandi, FENS President and Chair of the ALBA Steering Committee, would like to encourage all brain scientists to join the Network.
