Comparative Medicine Core facility

Comparative Medicine Core Facility (CoMed) provides assistance in medical research involving laboratory animals, to researchers from NTNU, St. Olav's Hospital and other research institutions.

Comparative Medicine Core facility is approved for the housing of mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, pigs, sheep and goats. We have a transgenic breeding unit, a specific pathogen free (SPF) unit, a I3 unit, a quarantene unit and a large animal unit. Several operation rooms, labs and equipment are available for both small and large animals.

Course in lab animal science - CAREiN

The CAREiN course is a theoretical course in lab animal science for researchers, offered by the University of Bergen. It is co-created and run in collaboration with UiO, UiT and NTNU. The course is arranged once per semester, with application deadlines around 1st of June for the autumn semester and 1st of December for the spring.

Competence of personell
