PhD Programme in Artistic Research

The PhD programme in Artistic Research is an interdisciplinary doctoral program. The programme aims to ensure artistic research at the highest level and to lead to qualifications as an associate professor. The PhD programme is among the first of its kind in Europe.

The PhD programme in Artistic Research offers candidates who have completed the highest level of artistic education in their field the opportunity for a three-year fellowship position. The fellow must be affiliated with one of the Norwegian institutions that offer one or more creative and/or performing arts educations. The fellows will also be part of an interdisciplinary academic community across their own artistic standpoint and academic specialization.
