Research and Collections

The Department of Natural History, the Department of Archaeology and Cultural History , and The National Laboratory for Age Determination are all a part of the museum. Our collections, long-term series and finds from archaeological excavations are frequently starting points for scientific research. The NTNU University Museum oversees cultural heritage management in Central Norway, this includes archaeological investigations, conservation and object preservation.
