Ringve Botanical Garden

Practical Information

The botanical garden is situated on the Lade peninsula, about 3 km east of Trondheim's city centre. The garden is always open and has free entry.

Getting There

Bus: There are several connections from the city centre to the botanical garden. The closest bus stop is Ringve museum. Visit AtB to plan your travel.

Car: You can follow road signs to Ringve from E6. The main parking lot is at the north entrance of the garden, in Olav Engelbrektssons allé. The parking area is clearly marked when you arrive at the garden.

Walking or biking: Walking to Ringve Botanical Garden will take about an hour from the city centre. A bike track runs most of the distance from the city centre main square, passing by Solsiden and Svartlamon to Lade allé, which runs all the way to the garden.

Garden Rules

You are welcome to have a picnic on the garden's benches and lawns.

Café Victoria is situated at Ringve Music Museum, and follows the museum's opening hours. You are welcome to use the museum's toilet facilities.

Most of the garden paths are suitable for wheelchairs, but some areas are steep.

We do not allow barbeques or ball games.

Please respect the plants and fellow visitors.
