Programme workshop 3 - 2011
8 persons from SJTU and 5 persons from NTNU particiopated in this workshop, which was dedicated to "Education". The main objective of the workshop was to discuss exchange of students, development of a double MSc degree and announcement of PhD positions in common JRC-projects.
Again the teams from NTNU and SJTU experienced a successful workshop on 28 - 29 November at SJTU's Minhang campus. Assoc. Prof. Yong LI and his team had done a very good job in preparing the meeting, where we successfully brought forward a "Particular Cooperation Agreement" and necessary annexes for a new, double degree MSc education programme on Sustainable Energy between SJTU and NTNU. The specific syllabus for the refrigeration area (which has been selected as a pilot area, and 6 students from SJTU will be selected for the 1st year joint master degree program) was also discussed and will be finalized in spring 2012. The meeting was carrried out in an open and friendly atmosphere encouraging all participants to contribute; both by bringing forward questions and issues important to handle, and by finding solutions.
On Tuesday 29 November the groups enjoyed a very nice visit to the city of Tongli and amongst others walked the "Three bridges" together to secure a long and successful development of the JRC within research and education.
