ELIOD is a project aimed at producing a database of energy, air emissions and labour by industry suitable for linking to the OECD ICIO database. This information includes automated updated procedures for combustible and non-combustible emissions for six specific pollutants for 2010-14, and is funded the European Commission (JRC IPTS).

We are contributing to an International Labour Organisation report on green economies, the world of work, and environmental sustainability. The objective of the report is to analyse trends and assess the impact on the world of work of a transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy. We are adapting the EXIOBASE 3 dataset to carry out the specific analyses needed to estimate the impact of a transition to a green economy.

• Project title: Policy-Relevant Indicators for National Consumption and Environment
• Funded by: Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (SwAM)
• Project timeframe: January 2015 - June 2018

he PRINCE project is developing a new framework for monitoring the environmental impacts linked to Swedish consumption – both inside and outside Sweden’s borders – using the latest modelling and statistical techniques.This framework will include indicators for several environmental pressures, plus a baseline monitoring report and case studies, providing a sound basis for policy decisions. PRINCE is funded by the EPA and SwAM.

The objective of this activity is to review the existing datasets coming from previous, and ongoing, ESA Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) studies and merge these datasets into a single database, which can be provided to the European industry to support the performance of LCAs for space activities and products.
