The project aims to uncover how large interdisciplinary projects that develop technology as learning tools and department-level initiatives can be implemented as part of learning practices on campus. More specifically, the project will study the use of low-cost VR as a case, where the application of VR technology as a high-variety form of learning will be examined from test to implementation. The project will examine how the active collaboration between technology, the sciences and the humanities can benefit in terms of technology-supported teaching. This will be exemplified through the use of VR. The project will analyze curricula and strategic documents at the pertinent departments and faculties. By comparing the implementation of projects and teaching, as well as the barriers and contributing factors for the successful implementation of projects, the project aims to uncover what the campus of the future will need to achieve maximum yield from projects and local initiatives. The results of the projects may result in a knowledge basis that can contribute to insights in the ideal organization of the campus of the future (such as common areas that will facilitate the use of various digital tools, the correct prioritization of resources, teaching assistant training and similar), to achieve interdisciplinary collaboration and implementation.
