Schlumberger Geolab
NTNU and Schlumberger entered into an agreement on June 9, 2014 to collaborate on research and technology development, including a new, multi-discipline, high-tech computer laboratory.
The technology agreement includes investment in a new high-tech Geocomputational Laboratory equipped with powerful computers and access to Schlumberger E&P software. Also, the laboratory will enable research in multiple disciplines such as petroleum engineering, geology, geophysics, materials science, mathematics, physics, and software development including NTNU’s App-based development lab.
“We have high expectations for the Geocomputational Laboratory and the cross-departmental work the lab will create. We believe that this is the start of a broader cooperation between NTNU and the E&P industry,” said NTNU Rector, Gunnar Bovim.
