The workshop serves as a support function for students, PhD candidates, and staff at the department.

We handle machining and welding of most types of metal and plastic, as well as repair and maintenance of existing lab equipment at the department.

We also build apparatuses and equipment of various sizes.

The machinery includes milling machines, lathes, pillar drills, and various welding equipment.

All machining is performed by the department’s workshop staff.

When capacity allows, we also take on work for external clients and other departments.
