Public seminar on solar and daylight planning in urban environments

Public seminar on solar and daylight planning in urban environments

NTNU and Multiconsult have arranged an international seminar on solar and daylight planning in urban environments.

The topic was how solar energy can be used in smart ways when we build. Great speakers from home and abroad.

IEA TASK 63 aims to support developers, property owners/associations, architects, urban planners, municipalities, institutions and other central actors to achieve "Solar Neighbourhoods". These must achieve long-term solar access for energy production, daylight, thermal comfort in buildings and outdoor environments, resulting in sustainable and healthy urban environments.

When: Friday 10.03.2023 at 9 - 14

Where: Powerhouse Brattørkaia, Brattørkaia 17, 7010 Trondheim + ZOOM

Participants: 110 total (85 physical)

The seminar is organized by the Department of Building and Environmental Engineering, NTNU and Multiconsult and was mainly conducted in English. Helios is a project under Green2050 - Senter for grønt skifte i bygget miljø

TRD3.0 Kindergarten cooperation

TRD3.0 Kindergarten cooperation

Within the thematic area of "Sustainability and Children” Helios ☀️ shines with a presentation on potential activities for children that will be organized in collaboration with the kindergartens in Trondheim kommune.

Helios aims to raise the social awareness and public participation of the young generations toward solar acceptability in the Nordic built environment to develop energy positive district, sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11) and the use of affordable and clean energy (SDG 7). 🌱

Under the auspices of the university municipality TRD3.0, Trondheim municipality invites NTNU's researchers to the seminar series Kongs-tanken.

The seminar series aims to create an informal arena, or meeting place, between educators and pedagogists who work with young children and researchers from a wide range of NTNU's knowledge environment, to discuss and explore various topics that are important for young children.
