About Process and Power

Water power labOur specialist group works with power, processes, systems and components. We work with energy efficiency in all industrial processes, especially in the oil and gas, metal and food industry. The main activities are:

  • Heating and cooling technology: Systems and components, energy analysis, process integration, refrigeration technology, heat pumping systems
  • Hydro power
  • Natural gas and multiphase transport, including low temperature processes (LNG)
  • Natural gas technology
  • Process integration and heat exchangers in industry: including metal industry, energy analyses
  • Food engineering: dewatering and drying, cooling, freezing and thawing, fluidized systems
  • Solar ovens
  • Thermal power production

As a master or doctor degree student in our group, you become member of an international group with contacts all over the world, and can choose to specialize in several directions.

The Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology offer a PhD in Engineering where you can write a doctoral thesis connected to research and development carried out in our research group. The following master degree programmes has courses and projects related to our areas of research: Energy and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Sustainable Energy.
