Traveling to Trondheim - Scandic Lerkendal Hotel
Traveling to Trondheim - Scandic Lerkendal Hotel
BERLIN -> TRONDHEIM AFFORDABLE TRIP: Traveling to Trondheim by plane either directly or through Oslo can be tiresome and expensive, but there exists a direct flight from the Berlin Brandemburg Airport to Trondheim Lufthavn Værnes with Norwegian, which we recommed for delegates travelling from abroad. If you are able to order now, we recommend the flight from Berlin to Trondheim the 25th of May for 122.9 EUR, as well as the return flight the 30th of May for 105.5 EUR. This comes to a total of 228.4 EUR.
After landing at the Værnes Lufthavn airport, there’s two main ways to get to Trondheim, both of which have different merits:
The first is taking the Værnesekspressen bus that departs from the airport and travels through the Trondheim city centre to arrive directly outside the Scandic Lerkendal hotel. This is the simplest travelling method, and tickets for this bus can be purchased at www.vaernesekspressen.no, where you must select “Lerkendal 1 (TrønderEnergi)” as your destination.
The second option is taking a train from the airport to the Trondheim S train station to then take a bus to the Scandic Lerkendal hotel*. The main advantage of this option is that, if you’ve decided to purchase a one-week AtB ticket for unlimited travelling by bus in the Trondheim city centre, this ticket will cover this train trip as well.
One-week AtB tickets can be purchased either through the AtB app available on both the App Store and the Play Store (NB! Only download the “AtB” app and NOT the “AtB Mobillett” app) or on www.atb.no/billett. Remember to choose “Sone 1” as the area in which the ticket will be valid. Otherwise, single-use or 24 h AtB tickets can be bought either through SMS or from ticket machines (visit www.atb.no/billett for further information).
*Buses that depart from, or near, Trondheim S to the Scandic Lerkendal hotel (Lerkendal busstop):
