Historical Archives
NTNU’s historical archives are located in the Archive Center at Dora in Trondheim. This is a repository archive and consists of archives from former universities and colleges such as NTH, NLHT, AVH, HiST, and NTNU. Historical archives from Gjøvik and Ålesund are located at their respective campuses. The archives are an important part of NTNU’s internal memory and has significant cultural and research value, which NTNU manages until they are transferred to the National Archives of Norway.
In addition to case files from 1910, we keep personnel files, study plans, student lists, dissertations, and diplomas. We also have drawings of buildings and campuses all the way back to the planning of NTH in the early 1900s.
