The section has an overarching coordinating responsibility for security and preparedness work at NTNU. It is also responsible for coordinating the central security organization, which includes the entirety of NTNU.

• Public security and preparedness
• National security
• Privacy

The section provides advice and assists managers, employees, and students in preventive work on security and preparedness.
