Hotel

We have made a block reservation of hotel rooms (with special NTNU price) at Hotel Scandic Nidelven.  Scandic Nidelven hotel is located in the city center by the Nidelven river, close to Midtbyen as well as Nedre Elvehavn, the old shipyard area with restaurants and shops. The hotel is known for its multiple award-winning breakfast buffet!

When booking your room at the hotel website, use the code "bntn291121". Please be aware that to be sure to get a room at Scandic Nidelven during the conference, you need to book your hotel room by 18 October 2021, after which the rooms in the NIKT block reservation will be released. If you have problems with booking via the hotel website, please book your room by calling the hotel (+4773568000) or sending an email (nidelven@scandichotels.com), referring to the same booking code. 

Travel

Trondheim is well connected to most of Norway by train and by air. Also, it is possible to travel with Hurtigruta or by bus.

The Scandic Nidelven hotel is located close to Trondheim Central railway station (see the map below). If you arrive by plane, you can go from Værnes airport to Trondheim by train, airport shuttle bus or airport taxi.

Conference venue

The conference will take place in the Gamle Elektro building at NTNU campus Gløshaugen.

NTNU campus Gløshaugen can be reached by foot from the hotel (approx. 30 min walk; the very scenic route via Kjøpmannsgata and Bakklandet highly recommended - see the map below) or by bus (no 3 or 22 to reach the Gløshaugen plateau, bus stop "Gløshaugen")
