NBLAW2025
NBL Annual Workshop 2025
Back in spring 2011 our Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory (NBL) was established and for the opening we organized a workshop. Since then we have celebrated the NBL Annual Workshops (NBLAW). We cordially invite you to participate in the 15th Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory Workshop 2025 which is an open and free-to-attend event.
With recent advancements in deep generative networks, the quality of synthetic face images has now reached a point where they are indistinguishable from real data in terms of human perception. To investigate the technological and societal impact of such technology, we invite speakers in the annual NBL workshop 2024 to discuss the benefits, challenges, and security threats associated with synthetic data in the context of face recognition. Our main goal for this workshop is to shed light on how synthetic data influences the application of face recognition from various perspectives, including governmental, legal, psychological, and academic viewpoints. The workshop will be held as a hybrid event and can be attended remotely as well.
