We cordially invite you to participate in the 8th Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory Workshop 2018 which is an open and free-to-attend event organized by Norwegian Biometrics Laboratory at NTNU - Gjøvik. As General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is going to take effect on 25th of May 2018, all biometric system will have to properly protect users' biometric data in order to comply with this new law.
This annual event on 2018 is focusing on the topic of "Privacy and Biometrics". This year we will discuss what are the opportunities and challenges we will face after the GDPR comes into force, and what we can contribute to enhance the privacy of the users' biometric data while still maintaining a high recognition accuracy.
