NTNU will deliver research that is useful for NAV
On 16 August 2018, Rector Gunnar Bovim and Director of Labour and Welfare Sigrun Vågeng signed the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between NAV and NTNU

Goals:
- Strengthen evidence-based practice by developing NAV as a learning organisation, with an emphasis on improving organisational processes and services
- Build up and strengthen practice-based research competence on NAV at NTNU across faculties and departments, and which provides a basis for applying for research funding from programmes organized by the Research Council of Norway and the EU
- Increase the quality of educational programmes at NTNU (including further education and practical training) that graduate candidates who work in NAV's areas or who can contribute to the development of NAV's services and organisation
