News from 2021
The SFI Metal Production autumn meeting was held in Trondheim November 2-3. Due to the corona virus situation, we have not been able to organize physical consortium meetings the last two years. This time we could invite to a hybrid meeting, and about 50 participants from industry and academia met physically at Royal Garden Hotel. In addition 40 participants attended the meeting online.
How have we made a difference?
How have we contributed to the green shift? And how can the SFI collaboration contribute to the realization of a greener industry? These were the main questions that were discussed during the two-day meeting.

Major results and achievements from the SFI acitivites were presented on the first day of the meeting. The topic for the last day was Green process Industry. Lars Petter Maltby started the session with an update and conclusions from Process21 work related to the SFI industry partners. Thereafter, the eight industry partners presented their plans to meet the green transition.
Their presentations were followed by a panel debate with questions and input from the audience. This was a successful way to exchange information and views on the challenges we are facing.
The main impression from the panel debate is that the SFI industry partners are impatient to develop more sustainable industry processes, and eager to get new knowledge to be able to reach the ambitious goal - a greener future!
