Open Access and CRIStin Course
October 11th Henrik Karlstrøm, from the NTNU library, came to SFI Metal Production to talk about Open Access in research and the use of CRIStin. There were 27 participants from the center, including PhDs, PostDocs, researchers, the RD Leaders and the Center Leader.
Open Access is important for a number of reasons. Subscriptions to academic journals can often be costly, and state funded research should be available to the public. Open Access publications are also more read and sited more, and in order to live up to NTNU’s motto “Knowledge For a Better World” it is important that scientific findings are easily accessible.
In NTNU Open you can find master theses, doctoral theses and scientific papers published at NTNU, and at CRIStin.no everyone can search for publications.
