KPN Project Controlled Tapping (2017-2022)
The project will focus on stabilizing tappings of slag and metal in the metallurgical industry. The goal will be to determine the fundamental tapping mechanism through studying materials and zones in the furnaces, through industrial campaings and CFD modelling work.
It was startet with a collection of knowledge from scientific publications as well as industrial experiences. This was presented on a 2 days seminar with more than 20 participants from the participating companies at NTNU the 11th and 12th of October. The strategy for further work was also discussed.
