The Kom-award is handed out each year from NTNU's Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology to employees who do an excellent job communicating their research or education to a wider audience.

Prof. Martin Ludvigsen received 25.000 NOK and the title "Best Communicator of the Year" at the annual party of the Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology 26 October 2016 at Banksalen in Trondheim.
