Kon-Tiki2 expedition terminated ahead of time

The Kon-Tiki2 expedition which is located in the Pacific Ocean about 1000 nautical miles from the shore was aborted 17 March.
Pedro De La Torre from NTNU was among the crew who were evacuated last night. He is now safe onboard the freighter «Hokuetsu Ushaka», together with the rest of the crew.
