The ship towing tanks have turned 75 on 1 September 2014, a fact that was celebrated big at the Marine Technology Centre.
On 28 August, an anniversary conference took place at the Telenor-building at Tyholt. There were about 105 participants from industry and academia within marine technology from all over the world- among others from Japan, China, Canada and Australia.
In addition, there was a guided tour for guests in the laboratories and in the museum of the ship modelling tanks at the Marine Technology Centre. The evening program consisted of a concert at the imposing Nidaros cathedral and dinner for invited guests at the Skybar of the Clarion Hotel & Congress.
On 1 September, Marintek offered a simple lunch for all employees at the Marine Technology Centre.
