Flying foil secures founding
The IMT spin-off company, Flying Foil, has secured founding from PILOT-E, that will greatly help finance the construction of a emission free high speed passenger ferry.
Photo: Flying FoilThe founding provided by PILOT-E will support 50% of a 21 million NOK project.
PILOT-E is an initative by the Norwegian Research Council, ENOVA, and Innovation Norway, that supports the development of new environmentally friendly energy technology products and services.
Flying foil is developing new solutions for hydrofoil ships, that will drastically reduce the energy consumption of these kind of vessels. The company develops technology for all types of high speed boats and ships, but its current main focus is on high-speed passenger ferries.
