SCOP4NORDVET: Scoping Review of Research in Vocational Education and Training from and on the Nordics
The Project “Scoping Review of Research in Vocational Education and Training From and on the Nordics” (SCOPVET) is collaborative project between the Section of Vocational Studies, School Development and Educational Leadership of the Department of Teacher Education and the University Library including external researchers from abroad. The goal of the project is to develop a two-folded scoping review on vocational education and training (VET) research from and on the Nordics, including Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Our goal is to identify key research topics that have been investigated in the last 20 years in VET research at Nordic universities and research institutions, as well as research topics related to VET in the Nordics by researchers worldwide.
Scoping reviews have become an increasingly popular approach for synthesizing research evidence and are suitable to map existing literature regarding qualitative and quantitative categories. They reveal the extent, range, and nature of research activities in a particular research field, summarise research findings, and identify research gaps in the existing literature.
Our partners specialise in software that enables scoping reviews, including Rayyan, NVivo, Endnote and Bibliometrix. Combining the knowledge and expertise of researchers and librarians, this collaborative research project has the goal to offer a systematic analysis of trends within VET research.
