The Sustainable Digital Transformation R&D Group

The Sustainable Digital Transformation R&D Group has been established as a core arena at NTNU for contributing cutting-edge cross-disciplinary research within software and information systems engineering. Addressing various social needs, we use emerging technologies as powerful building blocks for developing complex, innovative information systems (IS) within various application areas.

Research activity

Social robots

Our main members are Computer Science employees, including PhD candidates, at the Department of ICT and Natural Sciences. Being a R&D group that is intrinsically interdisciplinary, we have collaborators across NTNU and from different industry partners and research centers. Among other things, we work with agile methods and organizations, enterprise architecture, robust and user-focused design, data visualization, decision support and big data.  We have several ongoing projects, especially within the field of Digital Twin (DT) for Analytics, involving several of our group’s members.
