Do you want to contribute to marine robotics innovation?

Master in Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics (MIR) combines robotics, artificial intelligence and marine environment. On the master's programme you will be trained in state-of-the-art applied robotics targeted at enhancing the efficiency, health, safety and environmental performance of, among other things, the offshore industry and maritime operations.

MIR is a collaboration between four leading universities in Europe. You get to spend at least one semester (30 ECTS) at two different partner universities and graduate with a double master's degree from the two universities.

The coordinator of the MIR is University of Toulon. You can find more information about the master's programme on University of Toulon's webpage.

The Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics Master innovatively combines Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in the context of advancing marine and maritime science and their technological applications.

The programme of study aims at building the capacity of future engineers to enable advancements in the development and operation of new robotics systems with far-reaching impact on techniques necessary for ocean exploration and exploitation.

You can choose to specialise in one of the following study tracks:

  • Applied robotics for underwater intervention missions at Universitat Jaume I in Spain
  • Safe autonomous subsea operations at NTNU in Norway
  • Cooperative marine robotics for scientific and commercial applications at University of Lisbon in Portugal
