Career opportunities
The MA in European Studies prepares for professions and careers for which knowledge of contemporary Europe and the European Union is essential. For example, European Studies alumni have found employments in Norway and abroad in the following areas and/or organizations:
- Delegation of the European Union to Norway, Oslo
- Secretariat of the European Free Trade Association, Brussels
- Norwegian regional offices in Brussels (e.g. European Office of Trondelag, and Office of Western Norway)
- Norwegian Ministries and directorates
- Arbeiderpartiet (The Norwegian Labour Party)
- Innovation Norway
- Council of Norwegian Youth / Landsrådet for Norges barne- og ungdomsorganisasjoner
- Universities, education and research institutions, including NTNU
A number of our graduates have also engaged in doctoral studies after completing their Master’s degree.
