As a student on Master in Manufacturing 4.0 by Intelligent and Sustainable Technologies (META 4.0) you get the competence to, among other things, use simulation tools to find solutions to sustainable manufacturing.
META 4.0 is a collaboration between six universities in Europe. You get to spend at least one semester (30 ECTS) at two different partner universities.

At Manufacturing 4.0 by Intelligent and Sustainable Technologies you will get an extensive knowledge of sustainable manufacturing technologies and systems. You can specialise in one of the following fields of Manufacturing 4.0:
- Digital Manufacturing (NTNU)
- Clean Manufacturing (University of Ljubljana)
- Sustainable Manufacturing (Ecole Centrale de Lyon and Mines Saint-Etienne)
- Smart Manufacturing (Technische Universitet Chemnitz TUC)
You will amongst other things learn about:
- bottom-up and top-down holistic view of manufacturing systems
- digital twins and supporting modelling and simulations tools
- cyber physical manufacturing systems
- industrial robotics, industrial automation and control engineering
Throughout the master's programme you will get to design manufacturing execution systems, carry out research on manufacturing technology and carry out life-cycle analysis.
With a Master of Science in Manufacturing 4.0 by Intelligent and Sustainable Technologies you can work in the manufacturing industry.
