There will be no admission to this study programme in 2020/2021.

This master's degree programme is for you who wants to be a resource person in the mathematics subject in the lower primary level and upper primary level. The main purpose of this study is to educate teachers for the grades 1–7 in the primary and lower secondary school with a solid competence in mathematics and mathrmatics didactics. By working with different subjects that are important for teaching mathematics in the grades 1–7 the students will develop knowledge in mathematics both as an academic subject and as school subject.

The master's degree programme is sesson-based teaching and can be taken as further education. 

Admission

You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to  apply to any of NTNU's degree programmes. You also must meet the basic requirement for admission, and demonstrate that you meet the English language requirements.

NTNU offers Norwegian courses that meet the Norwegian language requirements.
