Course content
The course includes knowledge of analysis and use of curricula and other management documents. The course also includes insight into various forms of assessment. Further development of knowledge about learning, working methods / tools and processes that are relevant to the profession and professional practice will be emphasized.
The course includes an introduction to and critical reflection related to the concept of adapted education in vocational education and training. Furthermore, the course focuses on adapted teaching, differentiation of interests and the teacher's choice of didactic strategies. In addition, there will be a focus on special features and common features in the professions.

- has knowledge of curriculum work, related to various theories and didactic models
- has knowledge of adapted training and differentiation of teaching
- has knowledge of various forms of assessment and testing nationally and internationally

The student
- can plan, justify, implement, lead, assess and document relevant vocational training adapted to the pupils' / apprentices' needs
- can analyse and develop curricula based on general objectives for the education, local plans and the pupils' / apprentices' individual education plans (IOP)
- can assess and document pupils' / apprentices' learning and use different forms of assessment in the training
- can provide learning-focused feedback and contribute to the pupils / apprentices being able to reflect on their own learning
General competence
The student
- can act professionally and reflect on and discuss professional, vocational didactic and ethical issues
- can reflect on and develop own assessment practice in meeting the pupil's / apprentice's prerequisites, interests and needs
- has insight into the assessment of the need for special educational measures and individual training plans (IOP)
- can build relationships and collaborate with parents, colleagues and other actors that are relevant to education and the school system
- can formulate and discuss issues through research-based knowledge to further develop own practice
Learning methods and activities
The course includes teaching at gatherings as well as emphasis on work requirements between the gatherings. The forms of work vary and can include lectures, workshops, dramatization, group work, discussions, presentations, etc. All teaching and practice is compulsory. The course includes both pedagogy and vocational didactics.

Vocational Teacher Education (BYRK)
Required previous knowledge
Passed professional subjects in the first year of study in the three-year vocational teacher education. The prerequisite must be fulfilled to atend the course.
