Learning outcome

Knowledge:- Basic knowledge of the principles of operation of various support systems.- Basic knowledge of both the empirical and theoretical basis for the European standard work (NS-EN), for the course's topics.

Skills:- Determine the dimensioning loads of a building structure using NS-EN for self-loads, payloads, snow loads, wind loads and traffic loads.

General competence:- Have acquired current subject terminology.- Good knowledge of the basis for load calculations and of principles for the load-bearing capacity of structures.

The course contributes to the study programme's D-string, ie digitization / digital competence when offering training and the use of current calculation software in connection with compulsory activities. The course also contributes to the ethics string in the study program, ethics in connection with construction safety is treated.
