Course content
The Master thesis has to be in the field of Hydropower Development, and an be related to Hydrology related to a hydropower project; Planning of a hydropower project; Hydraulic design of a hydropower plant; Geological problems/challanges related to a hydropower project.
Learning outcome
The students will complete a master thesis within the field.
Knowledge: Use scientific methods in the implementation of a independent work in the field.
Skills: The students will be able to prepare a projet plan with milestones, reporting partial results and write a thesis in accordance with established standards.
General competence: Documented scientific qualifications through completion of a master thesis in the field.
Learning methods and activities
Independent thesis work under supervision. The thesis may wholly or partly be completed at an external company, in agreement with the academic supervisor.
Specific conditions
Admission to a programme of study is required:
Hydropower Development (MSB1)
Required previous knowledge
All topics in the Master Program in Hydropower Development.
Course materials
Books or articles given in the beginning of the study period, all related to the thesis topic.
