Course content
The candidate has the opportunity to submit proposals for the content of the project. The Programme Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the work for assigning a responsible advisor for each student.
Learning outcome
The candidate will through working on the project gain experience in independent and systematic project work. The project will be based on the skills and knowledge the candidate has acquired so far in the study. This will give each candidate the opportunity for reflection and enhanced learning. Use different methods to solve research challenges through scientific methods and practices in the field. Independently update his/her knowledge through literature search and contact with experts. Able to apply the methodological tools to address relevant theoretical, technical and practical issues. Able to use methods and other tools that are relevant to the project and contribute to analytical, structured, purposeful and innovative work. Able to identify and relate critically to the use and referral of relevant information, literature and technical material, and present and discuss this in order to address the problem. Have developed the ability to communicate scientific information both orally and in writing. Have improved his/her knowledge about facilitating innovation and innovation processes. Be able to communicate scientific knowledge. Have an awareness of his/her own knowledge and skills. Be able to contribute to interdisciplinary work and adapt his/her own professional practice and team properties for the project.
Learning methods and activities
Individual guidance. The department will appoint one or more supervisors, internally and / or externally.
- Students can work individually with the planning and implementation of a larger academic project (with good data collection, real problem case).
- Otherwise can work in a group with a larger task (crosswise either with students who have TS301011 or crosswise with students who have TS301211)

Further on evaluation
The report can be written in Norwegian or English. In addition, the candidate must submit: Problem definition Project plan / research sketch Poster in A3 with presentation of the project Bachelor thesis. In addition, there is a mandatory requirement for the presentation of the completed assignment. The project assignment is submitted digitally in INSPERA.
Postponed exam (= New and postponed exam): Next semester.
Specific conditions
Admission to a programme of study is required:
Shipping management (432SM)
Recommended previous knowledge
Participated in and having passed three semesters of the programme.
