- The candidate has basic knowledge of mathematics as the foundation for today's technological society. - The candidate has knowledge of mathematical topics that are fundamental for technological subjects.
- The candidate knows the central methods of the subject and can define and explain the most important concepts of geometry, algebra and functions.
- The candidate has basic knowledge of the use of digital tools for calculations and visualization.
- The candidate can explain the concept of algorithm and has knowledge of programming in mathematics.
Skills
- The candidate has solid calculation skills in algebra and the general foundations in mathematics to be able to continue on engineering education or an integrated master's in technology.
- The candidate can solve problems within the main areas of geometry, algebra and functions.
- The candidate can apply calculation skills in mathematics to problems from physics.
- The candidate can express himself precisely using mathematical notation.
- The candidate can use programming to perform simple numerical calculations.

- The candidate has an ability for abstract thinking and an understanding of how logical and analytical thinking is used in mathematics.

5 hours written exam. Permitted examination aids: Simple caluclator. Approved " formelsamling i matematikk for vgs. .. R1, R2, .." with no notes.
Re-sit exam in January.
