Course content
The focus is universal design applied to general design, aesthetics and the built environment. Basic knowledge of principles and user groups, perception and the senses, application of light, form and materials. Universal design and cultural heritage. Ethical aspects, verification techniques and law.
Learning outcome
Knowledge: Scientific foundation, user groups, user needs, concepts, principles and relevant law. Universal design applied to design, aesthetics and the built environment.
Skills: Understand and apply basic concepts and principles, identify user needs and user groups, transform needs into practical solutions.
General competence: Implementation of universal design in design, aesthetics and the built environment.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, videoes, literature study, hand-ins, tutoring. The course may be tought 100% online if needed.
Further on evaluation
Exam portfolio consists of student assignments collected in 2 hand-ins.
