About the course
Course content
The course deals with algorithmic methods with applications in bioinformatics, with a particular focus on string processing.
Learning outcome
The student should be able to use, and to some extent modify, known methods in order to solve bioinformatic problems. Some emphasis will also be put on individual and creative use of general algorithmic methods.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and exercises. If few students take the course, the lectures may be replaced with study groups. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may change from written to oral.
Compulsory assignments
- Exercises
Recommended previous knowledge
